Technically, I got tagged by Karen on the latest meme: Pick five occupations out of the list below and write your take on each one.
If I could be a scientist... If I could be a farmer... If I could be a musician... If I could be a doctor... If I could be a painter... If I could be a gardener... If I could be a missionary... If I could be a chef... If I could be an architect... If I could be a linguist... If I could be a psychologist... If I could be a librarian... If I could be an athlete... If I could be a lawyer... If I could be an inn-keeper... If I could be a professor... If I could be a writer... If I could be a llama-rider... If I could be a bonnie pirate... If I could be an astronaut... If I could be a world-famous blogger... If I could be a justice on any one court in the world... If I could be married to any current famous political figure...

1. If I could be a scientist...I'd work tirelessly to find a cure for cancer. When I found the cure, I'd want no credit for the discovery and would then work to make the cure available for free.
2. If I could be a chef...I'd specialize in elaborate cakes, like the ones in "Cakes to Dream On: A Master Class in Decorating" by Colette Peters.
3. If I could be a lawyer...I'd be a child rights advocate.
4. If I could be an inn-keeper...I'd prepare all of my breakfast items the night before and pay someone to finish and serve them in the mornings. My specialty would be stuffed French toasts. I'd have fabulous bath tubs in all the rooms; big soaking tubs, Jacuzzi tubs, footed tubs.
5. If I could be a farmer...I'd grow only organic foods and sell them at farmers' markets.

The Law According to Murphy

Today we hoofed it around The Mall. Again. I am 1 part too excited about the weather to go underground to take the Metro and 2 parts too phobic to ride the Metro as the Grown Up In Charge. The last time I was in DC, I was a whopping 17 years old and being led around by the Close Up Foundation . The biggest responsibility I had was deciding what color I wanted them to make my hair at Commander Salamander . So, we walked. And, truly we're just a few block from the Capitol. However, if you've been to DC, you know that the Capitol and, say, the Washington Monument are a smidgen apart from one another...like a mile-long smidgen. And, if you know me then you know that I am the world's number one couch potato. In fact, there are many times I don't even go all the way to the couch as it's just too far from my oh-so-comfy bed. God bless Tempur - pedic . There's a point in here. I swear. I'll get to it eventually. First, I must also explain that we had plans to meet...

Unacceptable

The only solution to my blogging debacle, to date, is the revert back to a standard template, without any of the bells and whistles that make my blog MINE. What is the point of a blog that is not MINE? How ironic is it that the NaBloPoMo theme for this month is "voices"? Today's post brought to you by the discourteous folks at Google who cannot be bothered to help the multitudes experiencing this problem. Thanks. Really. From the bottom of my heart. You guys are the best. Smooches!
