Kelly Shea-Gallo May 17, 1968 to May 3, 2004 surrounded by her family after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. Kelly is survived by her husband, Mark, children Mia and Chloe, parents, Jim and Caroline Shea, sister Tracy Montserrat (Paul), brothers, Kevin (Christie) and Brian. Niece of Judy and George Marcus and Peter Otten and many cousins, nieces & nephews and special friends. Kelly attended Mercy Burlingame and Chico State where she was president of her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. Kelly was a mentor and role model to both her 6th grade students at Taylor Middle School and her girl's basketball team at Mills High School. Her love of athletics and education inspired and touched many children's lives. She was so proud of her basketball team for advancing to CCS playoffs 4 years in a row. Kelly was named 2003 PAL Coach of the Year. Kelly also coached the California Kings basketball team and was preparing to take her team to Australia in June for a tournament. Kelly will always be coaching her teams in spirit. Always the teacher and coach, Kelly continued her 'summer job' for 17 years as a swim instructor and life guard at Millbrae Meadows Swim Club. Kelly's special joys were her two beautiful children, Mia (7) and Chloe (3). Because of her deep love of her children and her strong values for education a fund has been set up for her children. Donations to the fund can be sent to 'FBO Mia & Chloe Gallo' c/o Peninsula Bank of Commerce, 1001 Broadway, Millbrae, CA 94030. Today we hoofed it around The Mall. Again. I am 1 part too excited about the weather to go underground to take the Metro and 2 parts too phobic to ride the Metro as the Grown Up In Charge. Unacceptable

The only solution to my blogging debacle, to date, is the revert back to a standard template, without any of the bells and whistles that make my blog MINE. What is the point of a blog that is not MINE? How ironic is it that the NaBloPoMo theme for this month is "voices"?
